Growing up in the 80’s was great. My Grandpa Floyd was a great man. He told us stories, cooked, and gave us advice on any topic we could come up with. I spent hours with him, around the campfire, listening to his tales and watching him cooking over an open fire. My mother, also told me, I should be a man that can cook. Good women appreciate a man that can cook. Happy wife happy life. I grew up joined the military, which brought me to Okinawa Japan. I now work for the Marine Corps, and am a husband, father of 4 daughters. My goal is to share good food, good stories, and advice around an open fire. And teach them too to be well rounded individuals, that can get through life with all the tools, and experiences they need. Because in the end, that is what lives on. Please share with me your ideas, experiences, good food, and stories that you have had around an open fire.
