Moving into our house 4 years ago, one of the things it was missing was a real kitchen. I live in Okinawa working for the Marine Corps, and the Japanese version of a kitchen consists of a 2 eye gas stove. This has fueled my drive in outdoor cooking. My girls love lasagna. When they asked me to make some, I had to think outside the oven. We decided to make it in our deep covered cast iron skillet. Of course we built it with an array of fresh ingredients. And added cherry tomatoes from our garden. We made a melted butter garlic spread for the bread and toasted it on the grill. Again, Amazing! Must try.
This Lodge combo cooker is so versatile, Dutch oven, fryer, skillet, it does it all. One of my favorites for open fire cooking. Below is the link to get you own.
